This verse has been one of my life verses ever since 1991 when I discovered it written out in my dad's handwriting on a 3X5 card in my childhood bedroom at my parents' home. Dad had just had an unexpected major surgery that day. My mom and I were both weary, worried, and scared that Dad might not make it. To see this verse in Dad's handwriting was like a balm to my soul. I remembering running into my mom's room and sharing it with her. Both of us were so deeply comforted by these words. I have continued to find this verse a comfort and shared it with many others.
